Hello Class,
My name is Asia Salazar and I am currently taking my general education classes so that I can transfer to Cal Poly Pomona, for Business Administration. A while back I was looking into criminal justice classes, but I switched everything around, because business administration is the field in which I have been in forever, so I feel why not keep exceling and get a degree in what I do. I feel it's a win-win.
My interests are football, taekwondo, and commuting to Orange County and spending time with my family and friends. I currently reside in Ontario and work in City of Industry, so Mt Sac is a hop, skip, and a jump, from work.
I do go part time to Mt Sac, so it feels like I've been here forever. I try to knock out online classes, when given the opportunity. I think online classes are great for students who work full time.
I look forward to spending the next 8 weeks with you all. I hope everyone is as excited as I am.

Hi class!
My name is Breanna Koehler. I'm a part time student at Mt. Sac. I'm taking Intro to Philosophy because I deeply enjoy reading philosophical texts and wish to expand my knowledge. I'm trying this online course because I work as a teacher's assistant for children with special needs, and I have a six year old daughter at home, so this is much more convenient for me. I am going to Mt. Sac to obtain my Associate's degree as an Educational Paraprofessional, then move on to getting my Bachelor's degree in Child Development as well as my special education teaching credentials so I can become a teacher for children with autism.
On my spare time, I enjoy swimming, reading, writing, sewing, cooking, and generally relaxing at home. It's nice to meet you all and I'm looking forward to a good semester!

I am a part time student at Mt. Sac. My major is Psychology. I am taking this class so I can transfer to UC Riverside.
I really enjoy Psychology, reading, swimming, dancing and football.
I am currently working at a temp agency.
I look forward to the next few weeks with this class.

Hi everyone, my name is Briana Campos. I am enrolled full time this semester. My major is Mental Health. I am in the psychiatric technician program here at Mt.SAC. I am also parent and work as well. My days are always busy and I am always juggling a million things at once. I really enjoy keeping busy with work, school, and my family. I look forward to the next few weeks in this class. Hello everyone,
My name is Jessica Jordan. I am a new student to Mt. San Antonio however, I have been to different colleges in surrounding areas. I am currently a nurse trying to finish (little by little) my Bachelors degree with a minor in psychology. I graduated from Cypress College with my nursing degree and Irvine Valley with an certificate in Gerontology. Unfortunately, I found myself having to re-take some of my old courses, so I anticipate graduating end of next year hopefully. So, between working 12 hour shifts and being a single mother of two children and being out of school for quite awhile , times can get a bit challenging, but I am completely up to the challenge. I wish all of you a great and successful semester.

Hello Class,
My name is J and I have been taking courses for about twenty years in an effort to stay up to date with what is being taught to our up and coming college graduates. I am a digital marketing professional that services the small to medium business (SMB) sector. Philosophy is the love "Philia" of wisdom "Sophia" and so describes my reason for taking this course. I have enjoyed studying philosophy over the years particularly, the ancient Greeks and Latins, but also the more recent philosophers such as Locke, Descartes, Mills, Marx, Sartre, Rand and so on. Philosophy is a great pursuit within itself with intrinsic and extrinsic values that can help guide our lives and shape how we think. It can be a great exercise for the mind, much in the way that swimming is a great exercise for the body and it can be a guiding light pointing us... to ourselves. Also I like to fish.

My major is psychology, which is one of the reasons why I'm taking as well as learning and gaining a philosophical point of view in life. I am a full time mommy, a full time receptionist, and trying to maintain being a full time student too. My interests include hiking, happy hour, shopping, disneyland trips with my daughter, and FOOD! My name is Jiyoung.
I am currently a part time student at Mt. Sac wanting to learn things that I did not have chance to before.
I've always wanted to take Philosophy classes because it has been my interest since I was very young.
One day in the future, I wish I could be an art therapist so that I can help children or ones that need supports.
Most of my spare time is spent with my husband. We love music, movies and traveling, do try our best to enjoy our lives together.
