My name is Jacqueline Horowitz. I am 23 years old, my major is Communications, I have been at Mt. SAC for about a year, I am hoping to transfer to CSUF by next Fall, I work full time in a real estate office, and I enjoy traveling on my spare time!

My Name is Lucy Martinez. I am 24 years old and I am attending Mt. Sac for the first time. I am still undecided on my major, but I am taking this course as a general ed. requirement. This is my second year back in school since having my three children. I work for a catering company and frequently travel out of town for work. I enjoy watching baseball games and spending time with my children.

Hello my name is Jackie Verduzco I am a psychology major. I have received my AA already in psychology just waiting to transfer out hopefully to Cal State Fullerton and get my bachelors. I love working and being with kids, I don't have any of my own but I work them already. I work in after school program called THINK TOGETHER. Its a program to help students do there homework and interact with others there age. We get homework done and do activities to help them expand there knowledge and get creative. Some interest I have are being with my family ( I have a big family, cousins, aunts and uncles) theres around 55 of us in total and every sunday we get together at my grandmas house. Nothing better than the love and fun of family. I also love playing volleyball, going to the beach, hiking, and of course going to Disneyland with my boyfriend and his family ( pass holders). :]

Hello fellow classmates! My name is Esthefani, I am currently a licensed vocational nurse and I am doing Mt Sacs LVN-RN program. I am currently working as an LVN with young adults who have intellectual disabilities, on my free time I love to play tennis and hang out with my friends/family. I am looking forward to reading your guys responses to the essay questions and giving some feedback!

Hello!
My name is Anneliese Moreno. I've been attending for about 2 years now. I'm part time, and I'm almost ready to transfer!! It's an exciting feeling. The only problem is, I still don't know what I want to major in... I think it will be business, but I'm so indecisive and just not sure on what kind of career I want. I mean, I've already changed my major twice...
I was born and raised in Chicago, moved to Claremont, and now I'm temporarily in Atlanta, GA. (I changed my font face to Georgia, I thought that was appropriate). My boyfriend's getting his PhD, so naturally, I went with. It's humid out here. Real humid.
I can't really give examples of things that I really like to do, because I don't have many hobbies anymore.... I work two jobs, and about 60 hours per week. It's work, read a bit for school, work again, then a little more school. I'm lucky if I can fit in some exercise here and there. Oh, I do like food! Love it actually, and wine. I especially love it when you find the perfect wine to match your meal. I'm actually taking classes to obtain my Level 1 Sommelier certification. For those of you who like wine, you know how excited I am about this.

Hello Class, My name is Jenny Ramos. I am currently taking part time general education classes so I can transfer to Cal Poly to obtain a degree in Business Management. I am happily married and we have two beautiful girls, one that is 6 and my new addition who will be 1 month tomorrow  . So an online class will work perfectly for my family and I. I work in the Human Resources field and I enjoy what I do. I look forward to gaining new skills for my field because my area of work requires critical thinking to help with approaching everyday issues. I look forward to challenging my brain and to enhancing my way of thinking. On my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family traveling, I love to Yelp, and I enjoy trying new food. Hello,
My name is Adam Vega, I am 27 years old and live in Upland. I am a Horticulture major and currently operate a forklift for Pepsi in San Bernardino. When not at work or school I spend time with my wife and my daughter. I love music, movies, and am admittedly addicted to video games. I have taken another class from David Lane and am a fan of his teaching style. I honestly view philosophy as being a bit pretentious at times but I am approaching this class with an open mind.

Hey Everyone, My name is Jennifer Waters, I'm 21 and a full-time student here at Mt. SAC and this is my third year here. I am taking this class as part of my GE requirement because I will be applying to transfer this fall. I am a psychology major hoping to transfer to Cal State LA for social work. I have two cats named Cat and Leo that I live with in a small house in Upland. I enjoy video games as well as video game culture, old music (especially 80s synth pop and new wave) and horror musicals. I am an atheist (looking into secular humanism) just like my family, and also the oldest child out of four younger siblings. I went to Upland High and graduated class of 2012. I have high hopes for this semester as it is a big one for me. I wish everyone the best as well. |

My name is Flor Esparza I'm 22 years old. My major is psychology. I would like to transfer to Cal Poly by next year to continue my education in psychology. My goal is to become a school psychologist for elementary kids. I'm a full time student and I also work. I love doing out door activities like hiking and going to the beach. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends when ever I get the chance too.

My name is Heather. I am fairly new to Mt Sac. My major is in Nursing. I am a full-time student and I work part-time. I plan to transfer to a Cal State within the next year. I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying new foods. The format for this class is all new to me, but I am eager to learn and see what all the class has to offer. Best of luck to everyone.

My Name is Crystal Stark-Rodriguez. I am currently an English major but I am thinking about changing my major to accounting soon. When not in class I am a wife and stay-at-home mom to an eleven month old baby girl. I also enjoy reading, horror movies, and collecting vintage clothing. I have had Professor Lane in the past and he is an excellent instructor with many great stories to tell. I wish everybody well in this class!

My name is Marwa Abbas. It is my second year here at Mt. Sac and I am currently undecided on a major but my goal is to become a high school or middle school teacher. My favorite class is Biology as I have always been interested in how living organisms function. It is quite fascinating to see diversity in these life forms yet find many overlapping similarities. As far as hobbies, I enjoy being with family and close friends, going out to see nature, and travelling to engage with different people and cultures.
My experience with online learning has been great. I have to take care of my 2 year baby and the flexibility of online classes makes being a student and a mother alot easier. I have taken many online classes and I have enjoy every one. I honestly believe, with the technological advances, every class could, except lab classes, could be taken online. But as far as learning, preference will be the deciding factor in determining which class form, on campus or online, you will learn more from.
