Why is understanding physics and the general rules of the universe so important in doing philosophy?
Understanding physics and the rules of the universe are so important because they go hand in hand. as stated in "Is the Universe really made of tiny rubber bands?" The early Greek philosopher, Democritus, who suggested that "all things are made up of little tiny balls which he called atoms which he thought were uncuttable." which is a theory that turned out to be wrong but the word atom was still used to describe the word "tiny". Philosophy is understanding reason, reality and existence. physics extends to the universe.
What is eliminative materialism?
"If a phenomenon cannot be explained and comprehended fully by mathematics the one turns to physics then chemistry then to biology then to sociology, if it still cannot be explained, "god did it". www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZmue10YKvc
