In response to your question what is Eliminative Materialism. Eliminative Materialism the claim that a person common sense is false and that certain classes of a mental state do not exist. This is purposed as a claim which is neither true nor false. This claim has arisen an issue which it whether is to believe this or not there is no supportive evidence that the any of this false nor true. The mind is an extremely complex and magnificent. But reductive materialism is the opposite of eliminative materialism. The reason that states eliminative materialism has no existence of pain, visual perceptions, belief or desire including many others. First there are a lot of things that we cannot explain like the way we learn to getting mental illnesses. Second the different types of mental states that there are. Third is the human behavior. These are all examples of eliminative Materialism.
Being able to understand physics and the general rule of the universe helps in underlining the basics of philosophy. By understanding how the basic laws work in physics or by seeking more information of why and how things work in a subatomic realm or for instance anything. Philosophy helps you critically think and then think beyond that to help understand the matter. It helps you create theories about how it works. Without a humans instinct of being intrigued to figure out how the universe works we wouldn't come up these theories to help further explain what we are trying to study.
