Explain the virtual simulation theory of consciousness.
Consciousness is a virtual stimulator. One can play out a situation in their head and find a way out. Like is says in the short film Brian Burn, "In imagination and consciousness you can play as if it is real and project all sorts of end games earnings to see which one will be to your advantage." This theory basically is how humans virtually act out any given situation, and its alternatives in their minds before acting out that situation in real life. It is your own movie in your heard that you are the director to, you can change alter and redo any part of it until you get it exactly how it should be without actually testing it out in reality, real life, and not being able to redo the situation to get the ending that you ultimately wanted or needed.
How does the brain trick us and for what benefit is it for our genetic survival?
The brain tricks us into thinking that we are doing everything to keep us functioning and living. i also tricks us because what is an illusion that we look at, our brain tricks us into thinking it is a real figure. Like in the video the disneyland of consciousness, when a lady thought an illusion of Abraham Lincoln on a ride was the real president. This benefits our genetic code because it keeps us alive long enough to pass down the genetic codes. The brain tends to always make decisions based off survival instinct.
