Week 11 & 12
1. Why is Faqir Chand's experiences important in understanding the projective nature of religious visions and miracles?
Faquir Chand's experiences are important in understanding the projective nature of religious visions and miracles because its experimenting on being conscious of the visual aspects of life also because Faquir was acknowledged as a religious figure that was very influential. He preached to others about his experiences. There was a time that he shared with others about his struggles of facing death and then what might have saved his life during this time. Not only his life but others as well. His vision of this near death experience made him more curious and look more into it so he started to put himself in the near death scenarios so that he could better understand adrenaline and how it works and also miracles. he realized through all of this that the mind can use its own energy to push boundaries when it comes to dying.
2. What is meant by the phrase, "philosophy done well is science; philosophy done poorly remains philosophy."
I think what this means is that being a philosopher you look at possible accusations or observations and test it out and do more research on it and once you find the answer it becomes a fact that this is why this happened the way it did or this is the reason for why this happened and it is a proven fact. Proven facts are not philosophy they are science. So to me anything that we do not have an answer to and we are trying to find an answer to it is philosophy. Anything that we have an answer to and can prove it is science.
