1. Do you think artificial intelligence will be a significant problem in the future?
I do not think artificial intelligence will be a problem in the future. In the reading Digital Philosophy, it it mention how technology over the years has been evolving. For example, in Ch three titled The Book is Dead, they mention how the mentioned how the book died due to the introduction of the "iPad". In the reading it is also mentioned that "we live in a digital universe where vast Galaxies of data await our electronic mining simply by using our fingers". I could not agree with this any more because its true. Technology is getting so much more advance that it is everywhere and it all starts with the touch of our fingers to access it. In the video, Ray Kurzweil: The Coming Singularity, he mentions that "by 2020 we will have computers powerful enough to stimulate human brain". This once again shows that artificial intelligence will only keep getting more advance in our future. I do not feel that it will cause a problem because just like the changes that have occurred over time we have adapted to them and it has made our lives a bit easier.
2. How has technology impacted your life?
Technology has impacted my life in a positive and negative ways. I would say positive because I am able to have access to certain information quicker for example, if I am doing a research paper I am able to find all my information online instead of going to a library or reading an actual book on the topic. Also, technology such as social networks helps me keep in contact with family that I do not talk or see as much. The negative side would be that social networks can be very time consuming and I try not to be one my phone as much but when I am I will be checking my social networks. I also feel that we are maybe a bit too dependent on technology now since it is so easy to access it sometimes we do not take the time to explore certain things. I would conclude that technology has impacted my life in both positive and negative ways.
