1. Why is Faqir Chand's experiences important in understanding the projective nature of religious visions and miracles?
In the video titled “Faqir Chand: Inner Visions and Running Trains”, it marks the background of Faqir Chand. Faqir Chand was revealed that all gurus of whatever stripe were ignorant about the real cause of the miracles and visions attributed. According the book titled “The Unknowing Sage”, it records a lot of Faqir Chand's experiences. Faqir Chand exposed for the first time in the Sant tradition how visions of religious personages are the products of one's own inner development. There is an example. When one undergoes a neardeath experience and beholds a Jesus or a Nanak or an Angel in the middle of the light at the end of a long, dark tunnel, it is not the esteemed figure who is himself orchestrating the encounter. On the other hand, it is the neophyte who is projecting the sacred personage on to the light from his or her own biological and cultural history. Therefore, Faqir Chand's experiences are important in understanding the projective nature of religious visions and miracles. He has also in uncompromising terms revealed the illusory nature behind many religious visions and miracles, and Faqir Chand revealed in detail the secret behind many inner visions and miracles.
2. What is meant by the phrase, "philosophy done well is science; philosophy done poorly remains philosophy."
I am agree with this phrase "philosophy done well is science; philosophy done poorly remains philosophy." Because there are theory and hypothesis behind the science and the science is supported with concepts such as physics or mathematics. In the contrast, if philosophy is done poorly, it remains philosophy. It is because in the pure philosophy, the ideas and theories from philosophers are sometimes supported by only speech or written documents, which are not providing enough scientific evidence and proof. Moreover, a poor philosophy questions has always no correct answers as they can be only used for description the theory, but not prove or disprove something scientifically. There is an example in the book titled “The Oceanic Metaphor”. If the properties of consciousness can indeed be shown to be precisely determined in rigid cause-and-effect fashion by the physical state of the associated material, then conscious phenomena clearly belong to the subject matter of basic science. The unusual properties of consciousness which make it seem so different from quantities which we think we understand better do not disqualify it for inclusion. Therefore, a well-done philosophy is science with cause-and-effect.
