1.Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
The theory of evolution was explained by Charles Darwin. In the book The Origin of Species, it is summarized as species having adapted from thousands of years ago to how we are today. In the reading natural selection is mentioned. The Origin of Species, defines natural selection as "the famous of the origin of species". It is also explained as going to different evolutionary process especially genetically. We have gone through different changes through out the years that have helped us survive and be alive today. I believe that understanding the theory of evolution is important because it helps understand how humans behave. For example, in the video The Genius of Charles Darwin part 1 it is mentioned on how our ancestor have evolved over time and for that reason we have been able to keep surviving. Human behavior is really important because the way our ancestors have behaved and adapted over time has played big role on the changes that have caused evolution.
2. Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
I think one of the question that the evolutionary theory cannot answer is how life began. I feel that the evolutionary theory explains more on natural selection and how we have managed to adaptation over the years to survive. However it does not really answer how life began, for example where did it start or originate from. I can see that this might cause some different agreement since some people have different believes. For example, religious beliefs some people believe that life was created by God. I just feel that is one of the big questions that the evolutionary theory cannot answer.
